Buffalo Chicken Wings Recipe
Buffalo chicken wings is a traditional dish made from deep fried or baked chicken wings covered with a vinegar and cayenne pepper-based sauce. This tasty appetizer got its name from the town of Buffalo, New York. Today, the term “Buffalo” is used to refer to foods other than chicken wings that are served with a Buffalo style sauce.
It is fairly simple to cook Buffalo wings. In fact, you do not need to have an extensive cooking background to creating this mouthwatering delight.
To make this treat, you will need ingredients such as:
- oil for deep frying
- ¼ cup of butter
- ¼ cup of hot sauce
- Freshly ground black pepper
- a dash of garlic powder
- ½ cup of flour
- ¼ teaspoon of paprika
- a dash of salt
- ¼ teaspoon of cayenne pepper
- 2 tablespoons of vinegar
- 10 pieces of chicken wings
In a medium size bowl, combine ingredients such as paprika, flour, cayenne pepper, freshly ground black pepper, and salt. Mix all the ingredients thoroughly.
Next, get the chicken wings and roll it in the flour mixture. Make sure that each piece is evenly coated. Place the coated wings in a covered bowl and refrigerate for about an hour.
Meanwhile, pre-heat the oil in a deep fryer to about 350 degrees F. Once the pan is hot enough, fry the wings for about 10 to 15 minutes or until golden brown.
Remove the chicken from the heat. Place it in a bowl lined with paper towel to remove excess oil.
Prepare the sauce by mixing together the butter, vinegar, pepper, garlic powder, and the hot sauce. Stir the mixture until it is well-combined. Pour in the sauce onto the dish.
Serve and enjoy!
